Albertson Park

Albertson Park was willed to the borough in 1928 by John J. Albertson.  It is located across from his former home and next to the Borough Hall. He stated in the will that no alcoholic beverages be allowed of the borough would forfeit the park.  In May 1952, Eric Tait supplied the labor that went into the building of the pavilion, with Borough Council, P.T.A., and various residents supplying the cost of the materials.  In the mid-1990s, a gazebo was dedicated in memory of Jennifer Persia. Numerous events are held in the park throughout the year, including Clean Communities Day, Easter Egg Hunt, July 4th Town Fair, National Night Out, Tree Lighting, and occasional concerts.  Recently, new lighting and a walking/biking track have been installed in the park, as well as new playground equipment for all children to enjoy.
