Councilwoman Shawn Parker
Shawn Parker is a lifelong resident of Camden County and a 15 year resident of Magnolia. She raised her two daughters in Magnolia where they attended Magnolia Public School. Shawn volunteered at the Magnolia Public School when her daughters were younger and served as a leader for her daughter’s Brownie Troop. Shawn also volunteered with Magnolia Ambulance Corps in 1990 to 1994. In 2007 she was selected to the Camden County Democrat Committee and volunteers with the Magnolia Democrat Club.
Councilwoman Parker has been a member of Magnolia Borough Council since January 2021, where she oversees the Recreation Department and the Magnolia Recreation Committee where she has been a volunteer for the past 3 years.
Since 2004, Shawn has worked fulltime for the Camden County Health Department, in the Department of Health and Human Services. She started her career at the county working in the Department of Senior and Disabled Services. She moved on to work in Environmental Health serving as a housing inspector. More recently Shawn has been working on the front lines in the fight against Covid-19. She worked at the vaccine site at the Camden County College and at various Covid-19 testing sites throughout the county.
Shawn is married to Sergeant James Parker of the Magnolia Police Department and is the proud mother to Kaitlyn and Alyssa Condell, stepmother to Kylie Parker, and Mom-Mom to Adrianna.
