FULL-TIME MUNICIPAL CLERK/ DEPUTY CLERK 

The Borough of Magnolia is seeking a full-time Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC Certification required) or Deputy Clerk (willing to obtain RMC certification); candidate will serve as Secretary to the Governing Body by preparing agendas, minutes, resolutions and ordinances; attend meetings; responding to OPRA requests; conduct elections; serve as Registrar of Vital statistics (CMR certification required); issue various permits and licenses. Candidate must have the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks; possess excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to deal with the public in a professional manner; ability to work cooperatively with elected officials, department heads and employees; and have strong customer service skills. ACCOUNTS PAYABLE FINANCE CLERK 

Full-time entry level position under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer providing support for Finance Department and Tax Office. Duties include but are not limited to creating purchase orders, maintaining accounts, creating bills list, updating vendor files, accepting tax payments, daily cash receipting, preparing deposits, reviewing and sorting mail. The successful candidate must be Excel/Word proficient, detail-oriented and a highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic.  Accounting or Municipal experience with knowledge of Edmunds Financial Software is preferred. FULL TIME LABORER

The Borough of Magnolia is looking for a Full-Time Laborer in the Public Works Department. Must possess a valid driver’s license and Class B CDL license. The position consists of 40 hours a week with the willingness to work overtime in all weather conditions as required, specifically in emergencies such as storm preparation, salting and plowing of roads, and clean up. Applicants should have experience in street and utility maintenance, building repair, and sewage systems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to waste and recycling pickup, groundskeeping, construction work, loading and moving of materials, and all other related duties as required. Applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Rate is dependent on experience and qualifications; probationary period of six months. Interested applicants must submit an application for employment to Borough Hall, 438 W. PART TIME LABORERS WANTED

The Borough of Magnolia is seeking permanent part-time laborers for the Public Works Department. This position reports directly to the Public Works Superintendent.

Starting hourly rate is $18.00 an hour up to 29 hours a week. 

The candidate will be required to perform manual labor, including the lifting of at least 50 pounds and working in all types of weather conditions. Safety procedures and practices are required, as well as wearing safety equipment. A good working relationship with coworkers and the general public is also a necessity.

Applicants must be 18 years of age of age or older, have a  valid State of New Jersey driver’s license and a High School Diploma or equivalent. No experience necessary. CDL training with additional incentives available for interested applicants.

SUBSTITUTE CROSSING GUARDS

The Borough of Magnolia is looking to hire applicants who can assist children in crossing the street on their way to and from school. Crossing guards provide safe crossing of the roadways and model appropriate street skills and behavior for children. Job duties include covering posts in the mornings/afternoons as well as borough parades.
